This Blog has been quiet recently – not because nothing has been going on but because quite a lot has been going on behind the scenes (Also, I was on holiday… very nice, since you ask).
I’m excited to announce that I will be working with a new, additional company, in addition to working with Great Rail Journeys and Rail Discoveries.

The Railway Touring Company is a small company based in Kings Lynn specialising in UK day trips by steam train and tours in the UK, Europe and Worldwide. They’ve been in business since 1997 and have established an excellent reputation. They really care about Steam, primarily Locomotives but also Steam & Paddle boats, and they make extensive use of Heritage Train lines around the UK, Europe & Worldwide. This is just great… Everybody loves Steam!
My first Tour is The Far North and Orkney, leaving on 15th August. I’ll be acting as a secondary, support Tour Manager since this is quite a large group, meaning that this is the ideal opportunity to learn how this company and its’ customers and Tour Managers do things – This is a great way to learn on the job. I’ve wanted to visit the Highlands of Scotland for some time, and we even visit a Whisky Distillery.
This is all good news, and I’m very pleased to be able to broaden my portfolio of rail companies. Naturally, you’ll be able to follow me around this on Tour via this blog and my Facebook & Twitter pages. It’s going to be fun!
congratulations on your new venture! I recommend a visit to a distillery, or two (3)
