Boats & Trains

Travel Day today. We started with a short ride to Stromness to pick up the Ferry to Scrabster (population: approx 6)

On the Ferry we passed close to the Old Man of Hoy, captured here by one of our clients (Thanks to John Williams).

Next, John O’ Groats for the traditional photo-stop before travelling on to Wick

Memo to self: Scottish Whisky/Haggis Diet not working too well. May need to eat lettuce and boiled eggs for next 3 weeks.

From Wick we caught the scenic ScotRail to Inverness, a 4 hour journey that is famous for it’s’ scenery.

I made a short out of the window video of the journey.

And finally… Invergordon Station has a rather snazzy mural that I’ve posted as the header image at the top of the page. It’s also where the North Sea Oil Rigs are serviced.

Tomorrow… more steam! Last full day of the Tour.
