‘The Sweet Life’ in Rome

So… we’re in Rome and had a busy first day. Not quite as busy a time as Marcello Mastroianni had with Anita Ekberg in the Trevi Fountain scene in Federico Fellini’s 1960 production of La Dolce Vita – but you can’t have everything (where would you put it?). I’ve copied a link to the famous scene below. She’s the kinda wild and crazy gal that any sane man would run a mile from, although, being men, we probably wouldn’t. Sigh!

The Trevi Fountain has got a bit busier since 1960 and there’d be quite a few onlookers today (Just saying in case you fancy recreating this).

Rome was… Rome. It never disappoints. I’ve put a gallery of photos below. If you’ve never been – you should go.

Some of my American clients were fascinated by this car – a Renault Twizy

Tomorrow we’re off to Firenze (Florence). I’m off now to try and find my favourite Italian meal, Spaghetti Aglio, Olio e Peperoncino. Buonanotte a tutti!
